Overview

Departing from Athens in the direction of Corinth, we cross the canal and make a stop in the ancient city of Corinth. We admire the Roman Agora and the temple of Apollo, built in the 6th century BC.
Next stop in Mycenae (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the fortified residence of King Agamemnon, leader of the Trojan War. The entrance to the Acropolis is through the famous Lion Gate which symbolizes the power of the kings of Mycenae. We proceed to the Palace complex, with the six royal tombs, the priest's houses, the sanctuaries and other important buildings.
We continue to the wonderful city of Nafplio. You will visit Bourtzi, a small fortress built on an island in the harbor with magnificent views and Palamidi – Venetian fortress. You will explore the old town walking in the narrow picturesque alleys surrounded by elegant Venetian houses and cute neoclassical mansions, while you can enjoy a traditional Greek meal in the cozy restaurants.
We proceed to Epidaurus (UNESCO World Heritage Site). There, was the Asclepieion, the seat of the god physician of antiquity and the most important healing center of all the Greek and Roman world. The sanctuary of Epidaurus was considered by all Greeks as the place where medicine was born. Today, his monuments are not only world-famous masterpieces of ancient Greek art, but also an excellent testimony to the practice of medicine in antiquity. The main monuments you will admire are the temple of Asclepius, the Dome and the Ancient Theater of the Asclepieion of Epidaurus – this unique monument is the most perfect and famous ancient Greek Theater, which combines elegance with perfect acoustics.
